Born in Brno (Czech Republic), she started her musical studies at the age of 6. In 1969 Ingrid won first place in the National Piano Competition of music schools in the Czech Republic, in 1976 she was a finalist in the International piano competition Beethoven’s Hradec. In 1981 and 1986 she won a third place and a special award for interpretation of contemporary music in the National competition Beethoven’s Hradec.
In 1978 Ingrid graduated from the State Conservatory of Brno with a degree in Piano Teaching and Pedagogy. She continued her studies at Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Bmo with professor Inessa Janichkova (disciple of Heinrich Neigaus) and graduated with Master Degree in Piano Interpretation and Pedagogy in 1982. Between 1983 - 1992 Ingrid worked as a piano accompanist for the ballet ensemble of National Opera in Bmo as well as an assistant professor at Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno.
Since 1992 she continues her professional carreer as a concert pianist and a piano teacher in Spain and Portugal including following possitions:
Piano Proffesor in Vigo´s Conservatory of Music (Galiza - Spain)
Piano accompanist in the Professional and Artistic School of Viana do Castelo (EPMVC) and Vale do Ave (ARTAVE)
Piano Player in Choir and Orchestra Casablanca (Vigo)
Assistant Professor in the Department of Music in Minho University (Braga) and ESMAE (Porto)
Piano Teacher and piano accompanist in Conservatory de Guimaraes
Ingrid is regulary invited to hold masterclasses and to judge at International Piano Competitions in the Czech Republic and Portugal.
In the recent years she has been working as a piano lecturer in the Conservatory of Vila Real de Santo Antonio (Algarve, Portugal) and as an assistant professor in the Art School - Music Department of Évora University (Portugal).
She has been performing at numerous piano recitals and various chamber music formations in the Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Greece, Sweden and Brasil. Ingrid has done recordings for Portuguese national TV and radio and recorded an album Metamorphoses with acclaimed saxophone player Luis Ribeiro and a solo album Piano Kaleidoscope featuring selection of her own studio and live recordings.
